Weaverham 1st XI tonight won at Barrow to go through to the final of the 20 - 20 knockout competition. This is to be played at Chester County Officers on Sunday 31st August, against the winners of the other semi final between Brooklands and Over Peover.

Weaverham posted 132 for 6 in their 20 overs, opener Steve Robertson top scoring with a half century. A bigger total looked on, but Barrow pegged Weaverham back in the last couple of overs. In reply the home side were never quite up with the clock despite a flurry of strokeplay in the middle of the innings, nevertheless in the last over the game could still have gone either way, but in the end victory was secured by 12 runs.
